![]() ![]() ![]() We had a very early reservation,at 5:15PM, but after about an hour, the place filled up pretty quickly and the noise level rose. The seat gave us a pleasant view of the restaurant and made it very easy for us to call our waitress when we needed to. We sat inside the restaurant (main dining), in a corner booth that was adjacent to the bar. We definitely felt warm and taken care of. My partner and I were greeted warmly when we arrived and were sat promptly. There are also some spots right in front of the restaurant but those get filled up pretty quickly. There is street parking close by but that is dealers' luck. There isn't any restaurant-designated parking or valet. He also said he’d give us both chicken and spare ribs for our Nasi Lemak but forgot about that too The only complaint we was was that my friend’s appetizer came out just after all of our main courses and the waiter did not seem to be exactly on the same page as the kitchen staff as a cook brought out his appetizer only moments after our waiter said he’d take it off our bill because “they might have forgotten about it”. He tried to offer suggestions in place, but I didn’t go for them. Our waiter was very kind and sympathetic to the unavailability of the dishes I requested. The curry laksa was spicy but really bland. It taste of the basil was very obvious and the dish as a whole was so flavorful. I should have came earlier, but it was a huge personal disappointment to not be able to try their Hainanese Chicken or Preserved Egg Pork Porridge. THE TWO DISHES I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO WERE OUT WHEN WE GOT THERE! Definitely not their fault. Very affordable, great portions for the price. I feel like I wasn’t able to get the full experience, I’m willing to revisit another time to give it another chance. Also, good luck finding a parking spot during busy hours. Mask is a requirement but it is a enforced. It was great to see plastic dividers between seating booths. There weren’t even that many people in the restaurant. This might be a positive or negative depending on your preference. Also, there is not overwhelming alcohol in it as well. There is a very slight hint of strawberry and sweetness. The beef is fantastic!! It’s tender and juicy with a punch of flavor. We got two of each of the tacos: beef tongue, beef cheek, and pork. Tacos smell so amazing!! I almost want to drop writing my reviews. ![]() You have to sign up for the waitlist outside of the restaurant. We signup for Yelp waitlists, but I guess they don’t use it anymore. Stop by Kong Fu Tea for Boba tea afterward for dessert! I definitely plan on going back because the food really was very good and tasty. While my husband eats meat and isn't terribly picky, i try to eat mostly plant-based and all of us found very much enjoyable options on the menu. My son is four years old and left happy and with a full belly. We all have different dietary preferences and were able to find things that met our needs and desires. The service was very attentive and helpful and our server had good recommendations tailored to our group. But that is definitely my only (and certainly not a major) complaint. Having at least some plain rice included with an entree would be my only suggestion. We're all pretty health conscious and eat fairly healthy and by no means excessive amounts of food, but ended up having to order extra food because what we originally ordered just wasn't enough. I've been to a bunch of Indian restaurants in America and Europe and can't remember ever going to one that didn't include at least rice or even naan or chapati with an order of curry or other main dish. The only thing I was kind of thrown off by was that rice and bread had to be ordered extra. The atmosphere and decor was quirky and fun, but the low lights also made it feel kind of cozy. We enjoyed the food we had here and it was definitely authentic inspired Indian street food with a twist. ![]()
